Bio: Elizabeth
Opalenik is a photographic artist and editorial photographer specializing
in mordançage, hand-painted black and white photography,
and other alternative processes. Elizabeth's work has been
shown in over sixty exhibitions internationally, and is in museum,
gallery and private collections throughout the world. A
sought after educator, she teaches workshops privately on the
figure, portraiture, and alternative processes, and for The Maine
Photographic Workshops, Santa Fe Photographic Workshops, The British
Guild of Portrait Photographers and others.
Since 1983, she has led photographic workshops in Provence, Tuscany,
and on barges in Burgundy. She resides in the San Francisco
Bay area.
