Mount Ansel Adams,
Reflections, Lyell Fork, was made on one of many backpacking trips
made to this wonderfully magical place. Located far in the recesses
of Yosemite National Park, it is certainly one of the Supreme Destinations
in my book. I have hauled all sorts of camera equipment there over
the years, but on this trip went “light”, taking only
my SpeedGraphic 4x5, and a fair number of holders. This was the
view from near our campsite, the same location that had been used
by Ansel, and countless others, no doubt. It is a place of great
beauty and peace, and an incredibly hard place to leave when it
comes time to shoulder the pack, and begin the two-day walk back
to the trailhead
