Bio:
Michael is on the faculty of the San Francisco Art Institute and teaches both film based and digital photography. He also consults with various schools helping to formulate film and digital programs and consult with companies about issues related to digital imaging in the workplace. Over the past few years he's concentrated on digital imaging and has traveled throughout the US and Europe to speak at forums which includes photographic conventions and private workshops.
In 2001 his work ranged from intimate Carbon Pigment Black and White images in France and England to large-scale color prints from a series of images made in New York. Continuing work relating to color images are of still life subject matter such as "The Garden Series","Feather Series" and "Mandala Series".

This body of work is coupled with landscapes and nudes that span a timeframe from 1977 to the present. He's documented the Mission Bay Area of San Francisco since 1984 and continues to do so to this day. The urban development of this 200+ acre site has slowly evolved over the past 18 years as the political and economic wind swirls over this proposed city within the city.

Photographs: My Black and White Images are printed using Carbon Pigment inks (Piezography BW) on Fine Art Watercolor Paper.
